As an ex-Syntex or Syva employee, you are eligible for membership in the Syntex Syva Alumni Association (SSAA). This organization was originally part of SERA (the Syntex Employees' Recreation Association), but is now an independent nonprofit 501(c)(7) mutual benefit organization. Membership is open to ex-employees from any Syntex/Syva entity.
The SSAA was formed in 1992. The objective and purpose of this association is to promote fellowship among former Syntex/Syva employees. The Association publishes a Newsletter several times a year, a member Directory, sponsors a winter Annual Reunion and General Meeting including a luncheon, a summer Annual Picnic, and, occasionally, other social events. The dues are $15 annually or $150 for a lifetime membership.
